At SLW, we are proud to have worked with a huge range of clients over the years. We are delighted to have helped so many people on their fitness journey or on the road to recovery - we like nothing more than seeing our clients feel good. Here are some of the lovely things our clients have said about us.
Thank goodness for Kat who keeps my weightlifter son Drew in tip top condition 👌 So reassuring to know they will continue to look after him throughout his long sporting career ahead! #miracleworkers
hadn't realised how much of a state my back was in really, kat doing great work sorting it out
Went to kat with back pain and ankle pain being a long distance driver sitting down allot don't get to stretch or move much. after first session I was able to stand straight and pain free. Can't remember last time felt that good. Well worth the treatment as results are amazing very well priced no matter what kind of pain Kat sure knows how to fix it - thank you
When you beat the cr.....p out of your limbs achieving goals in your sport, these are the ladies to sort you out. Deep tissue massage, It's not pretty but it's professional
Can't thank Kat at Sports, Life, Work enough. Really struggled with mobility and had a number of issues including glutes, hamstrings, back and calfs. After a few sessions on my back and glutes I am now moving freely and sleeping better. Tonight's leg session hurt like hell but I know I'll see the benefits soon. Thanks again Kat. Great therapy and a cracking gym .
Can't recommend this company, especially Kat Clark enough. Amazing people who provide that extra personal care
I can't recommend these guys enough. I'd be here for ages listing why they are the people I go to when I do get an injury or I'm needing advice and help looking after my body. Kat is so well versed with the functions of the human body that she can always provide guidance and aid on getting you back to your optimum function.
Looking after yourself and training isn't just for they 2 weeks in magaluf or they shorts on the beach. Getting the best treatment, advice and training will benefit you in sport, everyday life and work. Just like it says on the tin !
Cambuslang Rugby Club have been working with Kat and the team at Sports, Life, Work for a number of years and are delighted to be working with such an excellent sports therapist.
They are a professional, knowledgeable and friendly team and are attentive in their approach to our player’s recovery and injury prevention.
Kat’s work with the team has been vital to the club’s promotion to BT West Division 1 for the 2017-18 season, she helped players stay injury free or helping them recover from any knocks/injuries. Always with the players best interest at the centre of this, which is important when you are a small squad for a long season.
Since discovering Kat, I've become able to manage a number of old sports injuries. She's always enthusiastic, listens to you and gives clear instructions for home therapy. I always leave Kat's feeling a new person with working parts. Kat has achieved, in the time I've known her, what physiotherapists have failed to do for me over the past forty years.
When the difference between winning and losing can be measured in 1/100ths of a second, you can’t leave things to chance.
That’s why I use the services of Sports,Life, Work in Rutherglen. Boasting both a sports injury clinic, which is a bit of a misnomer in my opinion as they offer much more than rehabilitation, and a fully equipped strength and condition gymnasium with a friendly family vibe that makes even the dreaded leg day pleasurable.
Being involved in motorsport I’m more interested in muscular function than mass and this is catered for at Sports,Life,Work. I can also work on my hand/eye coordination and my cardiovascular system by heading into one of the open zones with a skipping rope or I can work on my core using the medicine balls and when it is time to work on strength there’s a wide selection of free weights, dumbells and kettle balls to select from.
I mentioned earlier about the sports injury clinic being a misnomer, and whilst I’ve had to use that particular service on a number of occasion there’s as much emphasis placed on prevention and maintenance as there is on rehabilitation. Talking about rehab – on at least two occasions I’ve had to visit Kat the day before an event with a performance limiting issue and on both occasions, thanks to the treatment received gone on to win my class the following day!
I would highly recommend Kat and her team. I have felt a great benefit of having regular sport massage sessions with continuous injury prevention advice. This has led to my training routine being at its best and me being less likely to suffer injury. Whilst being treated by Kat I have broken my personal best time on multiple occasions.
I had an operation on my leg and after it healing I was really struggling. I was in constant pain. Doctors didn’t know what was going on; I had been for numerous scans and been put on so many pills that I was rattling while I walked.
Physiotherapy didn’t help, they only taught family members to gently massage, then Kat from Sports, Life, Work came along. I must admit I was a bit pessimistic as everything else hadn’t worked and nobody seemed to be able to help but after the first sports massage she could tell me exactly what was wrong and how to fix it.
After a few months of Kat massaging my leg I could feel and see the differences, I was a new person and could actually start to live a normal life; I even came off all the pills! A year on and the pain has decreased dramatically, it’s like night and day.
Kat used massage to break down the scarring in my leg which helped fluid start to move about and then put the kinesio tape round my leg to help keep the fluid moving about; the tape looks really weird on but the way it works is amazing
.
Kat is always there for me, if I’m having a bad day she tries her best to move things about to fit me in.
I have and would always recommend Sports, Life, Work to anyone who has a sports injury or like me, pain resulting from an operation scar.
I always call her Killer Kat, but seriously, Kat’s magic massage has brought me back from the brink of physical breakdown several times.
After several years of injury-free running, middle age brought a series of niggles plus a pair of absolutely knackered knees. Using her killer deep tissue sports massage techniques, Kat was able to sort out the severe pain in my knees by getting right in amongst my rock-hard, knotted quads. Yes, it was agony (there’s a reason I call her Killer Kat) but it was worth it - Kat’s treatment, delivered over just a few short weeks got me fully back on my feet and able to walk and run pain-free. It felt like I had new legs!
A couple of years later and I found myself in the middle of a double whammy, caused by the pandemic and a particularly brutal menopause. Thanks to a decline in my fitness, weigh gain and some seriously debilitating hormone-induced joint pain, I was reduced to shuffling about with relentless lower back and hip ache. Things were so bad that my sleep was ruined and my lifelong fitness destroyed - I could barely even get a pair of socks on, let alone go for a run, a swim or a session in the gym. But once again, Killer Kat came to the rescue! Across a series of treatments, Kat was able to get in amongst some vice-like muscle tightness and inflammation, and get me moving again. Not only has Kat helped me recover my physical fitness, she’s been so encouraging and confidence-boosting at all times - she’s an absolute tonic.
.As someone who is determined to stay fit and active into old age, but who is now dealing with the inevitable physical wear and tear of late 50s life, I will continue to have regular treatments with Kat. I know that she’ll help keep me moving for a very, very long time.
