Learn MoreAbout Us

Sports Life Work began in 2011, when our founder Kat Clark started helping people recover from injury with little more than her skills, determination, and the boot of her car as her base.
From those humble beginnings, we’ve grown into what you see today: a thriving sports injury clinic, private gym, and teaching facility in Glasgow. At every stage of our journey, one thing has remained the same—our commitment to helping people move better, feel stronger, and live without limits.

We’re proud to have a brilliant, down-to-earth team here at Sports Life Work. Each of us brings different strengths, experiences, and passions—but we’re all united by one goal: keeping you moving.

Therapy

At Sports Life Work, therapy isn’t just about treating pain, it’s about helping you get back to living the life you want.
We know that an injury doesn’t just affect your body.It impacts your sport, work, and everyday life. That’s why our approach is different: we don’t just get you out of pain, we give you the tools, guidance, and support to keep moving forward.
-We look at the whole picture, Pain is rarely just about one muscle or joint. We take time to understand your lifestyle, your movement, and your goals.
-Hands-on treatment meets movement rehab – We combine therapy techniques with exercise-based rehab to get results that last.
-A clear plan, not quick fixes. Instead of short-term relief, we focus on long-term recovery and prevention.
-Seamless link to our gym. Unlike most clinics, we bridge the gap between treatment and training. Once your pain eases, we build strength and resilience to stop it coming back.
-Female-led, welcoming environment, We pride ourselves on being inclusive, approachable, and supportive for everyone who walks through our doors.
-We don’t believe in “rest and hope for the best.” At SLW, you’ll leave every session knowing exactly what to do, why you’re doing it, and how it fits into your bigger recovery journey.

Kat Clark

Hi, I’m Kat Clark, the founder of Sports Life Work.
Back in 2011, I was driving around with a treatment couch in the boot of my car, visiting clients wherever I could. It wasn’t glamorous—but it was the start of something I deeply believed in: that everyone deserves access to proper injury care and support, no matter their background.
Fast forward to today, and Sports Life Work has become a space I’m truly proud of—a clinic, gym, and teaching facility that brings people together and helps them rebuild confidence in their bodies.
As a female business owner, I’ve grown this alongside raising my young family (and keeping up with our two dogs!). I know first hand how injuries affect more than just your body—they impact your whole life, from how you move to how you feel. That’s why I’ve built SLW around the idea that recovery should be holistic, empowering, and sustainable.
I still work hands-on in the clinic because I love what I do: helping people return to sport, keep up with their kids, or simply move without pain. My journey has always been about people first—and at Sports Life Work, that will never change.

Away from the gym, Kris is a dedicated dad to his little girl and loves to spend time with family. He’s also a self-confessed foodie, always exploring new flavours and sharing recommendations. Kris has a knack for making training both challenging and enjoyable, creating a welcoming space where clients feel comfortable yet inspired to push themselves.

Gary brings a wealth of experience to SLW, working across both therapy and strength training. Known for his calm, supportive approach, he helps clients recover from injuries and rebuild confidence in their bodies. Outside of the clinic, Gary is a passionate runner and ultra-marathon competitor, so he understands the mental and physical resilience needed to overcome setbacks. Andrew

Sports Therapist

Andrew is one of our newest graduates, but his enthusiasm and commitment make him an integral part of the SLW team. She keeps the clinic running smoothly behind the scenes and makes sure every client feels at ease from the moment they step through the door.
